Sometimes if you really know deep down a job is going to be terrible for you, cutting the chord early can be the right thing to do.

I don’t know if this is possible but could you coach or help with Jiu-jitsu lessons to tide you over? My old boxing gym had coaches who were former amateur boxers but also four or five coaches who weren’t but they were experienced and had good fundamentals so could coach some of the classes.

Thanks man - you’re spot on. I just ‘knew’, I’ve been around the block enough to realise now, which is a good skill to have.

I’ve actually just offered to help with the kids classes - I wasn’t going to, but your comment gave me the push to ask. At the very least, teaching will bring me joy 😊

This resonated. That’s an incredibly tough place to be in and a decision that’s 100% the right one. I can relate. Always trust your gut and be a better leader for yourself when your so called leaders fail you. That’s something to be proud of!
